The PWC report on emerging Insurance senario in 2020 is mindblowing. There is going to be a total new approach on profile of a company, its work practices, and its distribution channels. He exposed us to several statistical figures to highlight the impact these will have in Future of Insurance. It looks Mobile technology will replace Laptops & Desktops. The Watson Super Computer will give new meaning to our needs in different areas. Urbanisation will further change the Insurance & Health Market. Pollution will have a severe impact on costs. The future Insurance growth will come from India & China. The distribution strategy will be more technology oriented.The session was highly informative as Mr.Anurag Sundar initiated us into several new concepts now emeging.

Though the session was very long and few contents were very difficult to understand but very informative.

The session was completely useful, it not only taught "what is the future of life insurance" but also "how these future growth is predicted". Very informative and had a wide knowledge.

ReplyDeleteThe only thing i concluded from the guest lecture is that the whole idea of insurance, insurability and technology is going to be tightly woven in the near future...Mr. Anurag talked about how IBM's Watson(the super computer)had immense potential to arrive at a conclusion in nano seconds and how the insurance industry would shrink in terms of the number of people it will employ and will be huge in terms of business that it will do...as a prospective insurance student I am still deciding how to feel about it...!!
